Our trips are largely paid for via a monthly savings club which currently stands at £15 a month. Anything left goes in the ale fund or gets carried over to the next year.
In 2017 we started to use a single credit card (with no fees) for booking transport, trips, events and paying for all our main meals together. At the end of the weekend we add it all up and just divide by 5. Here’s what we’ve spent each year per person:

2022 – Ljubljana, Slovenia
Total cost per person – TBC summer 2022
*Fat Cheeks Berlusconi couldn’t come so he donated his £50 carried over from 2020 to the DECs Ukraine appeal. God’s Mistake continued to pay the wrong amount into the wrong account and is out by £60.

Unfortunately, there’s no breakdown for our Albania trip as our flight home was cancelled and we spent an extra 4 days there so working it all out was a nightmare.

*the savings club was increased to £15 a month at this point as a 5 bedroom apartment with a central living area was probably going to cost us

- Accommodation – £110.69 p/p – £553.45 total *way more expensive than normal but it was the best apartment in town and in budget

*the savings club was only £12.50 a month at this point and we didn’t pay for everything on one card so working it out was really tricky

- Accommodation – £52 p/p – £260 total *good deal for 5 separate on-suite rooms

- Car Insurance – £1.23 p/p – £6.60 total *Kaiser Wilhelm was already in Romania for work so The Vegan drove his car to the airport

The remaining £126.51 went into the ale fund equating to 650 lei (Romanian leu)
